Pterygium

 

It is the progress of the transparent layer on the white part of the eye (sclera) over the cornea (transparent tissue on the colored part of the eye). It is known as the growth of meat in the eyes. Its treatment is surgery. The risk of recurrence is very low.

 

Dry Eye Disease

 

Tears are extremely important for a healthy eye surface. Insufficient tear production due to various reasons may cause symptoms such as stinging in the eye, feeling of pain, and redness. In addition to treatment with tear drops, tear duct occlusion procedures are extremely effective in correcting the symptoms of the disease.

 

Allergic Conjunctivitis

 

It is a condition that occurs with symptoms such as itching, watering, redness in the eye due to various allergens.

 

Chemical Injuries of the Eye Surface

 

As a result of the contact of chemical agents with the eye surface, injuries of varying severity occur depending on the exposure and the nature of the chemical substance. In severe cases, corneal health may deteriorate, and healthy stem cells taken from the other eye can be transplanted into the injured eye.

 

Eye Surface - Lid Adhesions (symblepharon)

 

Eyelid adhesions may occur due to trauma or severe infections. In this case, these adhesions can be corrected by transferring appropriate tissues to the eye surface.

 

Blepharitis

 

It is an infection of the glands located on the ciliated surface of the eyelids. There may be symptoms such as redness, itching and loss of eyelashes on the lid. Infection can also cause eyelid styes.

 

Tumors of the eye surface - conjunctiva:

 

They are tumors of the transparent membrane (conjunctiva) on the white part of the eye (sclera). It presents with swelling and redness on the eye surface and mass formation. Surgical removal is possible.
